Introduction Post
Hi Everyone! My name is Aiden and I am a fourth year computer science major here at UVIC finishing up my degree at the end of this year.
I was born and raised in North Vancouver, where I grew up skiing the north shore mountains and developed a love for the outdoors. In my free time, I most enjoy sports, cooking and travelling. I worked as a junior sous chef at multiple restaurants and committed my early summers to doing so. Nowadays, I most enjoy coming up with new recipes at home, as well as exploring new cuisines with my new passion of travel. I most recently have done the Inca Trail hike on the historical Machu Picchu site and boated around the Galapagos.

Studying computer science at UVIC, I am most interested in database systems, graph and network theory, simulation and operations modelling, as well as data science for software engineering. I have done multiple co-op/internship placements as a business and data analyst and hope to pursue a career in this field post-graduation.

Through this blog and EDCI courses, I hope to share my thoughts and experiences around multimedia learning environments and further developing my skills in technology and design. I’m excited to stay active on this blog and keep up with everyone in the class!
